Cindy Schnee, B.Sc., B. Ed.

I worked as a naturalist in Quebec for 10 years and then decided
to get my B.Ed from Le College de St-Boniface in Manitoba.

From there it was off to Malawi, Central Africa, to help
implement papermaking in schools and help teachers create
teaching and learning aids from their home made paper.

In my own home schooling practice, we do structured and lively,
hands-on, adventurous programs that I create with help from my
children (15 and 12 years old). We also do unstructured activities,
mostly centred on our love for the creatures and elements of the natural world.

We live in a housing co-op, smack dab in the middle of the city, and
make good use of its natural areas as well as its libraries, museums
and art galleries.

Community is important to our family: within our
co-op, our homeschooling community and our neighbourhood.
